Dr. Pedro Antón has a BM in Medicine and Surgery given by the University of Navarra (cum laude) with a specialisation in Psychiatrics. He was a teacher of his medical speciality at the Universities of Granada, Autónoma de Barcelona and Navarra.
He is the author of numerous books dealing with the topics of Psychiatrics and has written more than 50 articles for specialized magazines. He has been a Psychiatric practitioner in several centres such as that of Hospìtal Psiquiátrico de Sant Boi de Llobregat, Centro Neuropsiquiátrico de Martorell, and Clínica Universitaria de Navarra where he was the head of the unit of Psychiatric Hospitalization. He also acted as a Psychiatric consultant and as chief of Medicine during the years of 1990 to1998 in the Clínica San Carlos in Alicante. Since 2001 he is also the Chief of Clínica Mediterranea de Neurociencias.
Dr. Antón carries out functions in the directive boards of several societies and Psychiatry organisations and is the editor of the magazine “Sociedad de Psiquiatría” in the Valencia region. Lastly, he is also President of the European Congress of the Hispanic Psychiatry American Society, member of several commissions, scientific committees and teaching groups.
