Born in Torrevieja (Alicante) in 1979, Miguel Sanchez Barredo completed a degree in Psychology at the University of Valencia in 2002, where he earned honors qualification in their practicum in the area of "Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments". He studied Postgrades in Psychooncology (2003) and Clinical Neuropsychology (2004) at the Institute of Psychological Studies of Valencia. Between 2006 and 2009 he completed the Masters in Gestalt Psychotherapy Integrative Psychotherapy School of Valencia, obtaining a diploma in personal growth and communication. He is also postgraduated in palliative care by Health Studies Classroom Madrid (2004) and the University of Murcia (2010). In 2013 he completed a Master in Human Resources and Management by University of Alicante, winning the award for best student.
Since 2002 he has worked as a psychologist at different centers. Among them we can mention the "Spanish Association Against Cancer" (AECC), the "Manuel Garcia Gea Hospital" of Torrevieja, the group residential facility "Green House" in Torre de la Horadada, the "USP Hospital San Jaime" in Torrevieja and several private mental health centers.
Throughout his years of career, he has worked as external tutor internship in several Spanish universities and he has worked also as a teacher with Valencian School of Health Studies. He is also a full member of the Spanish Society of Psychooncology (SEPO) and member of the Spanish Society for Palliative Care (SECPAL).
Since September 2013, Miguel Sanchez Barredo is part of the SHA team as a medical psychologist and he is specialized in counseling for smoking cessation.
