Virginia Harper is making contact with natural and macrobiotic medicine for the first time after receiving a devastating diagnosis at an early age. Having seen the great results that natural therapies had on her fragile health, which led to a complete recovery, Virginia Harper decided to train and share this knowledge with others.
A disciple of Michio Kushi , she has received various certifications that have certified her as an expert consultant in natural and macrobiotic medicine. In addition, as part of a career dedicated to caring for the health of others, in the early 90s she set up her own practice for natural and macrobiotic medicine and founded several non-profit organisations such as Kid's Healing Crohn's and Colitis Disease or Ki of Life Learning Center
In 2002, Virginia Harper wrote Controlling Crohn's Disease the Natural Way , a book that continues to lead sales in its category. She has written for American health journals and magazines such as Yoga Wellness and Southern Inspired.
An active lecturer and tireless teacher, Virginia Harper has given health and natural medicine lectures in the UK, Jamaica, Canada and Mexico. She is a member of support groups in hospitals and clinics and is a frequent contributor to seminars and lectures for Gilda's Club Cancer Center, the Kushi Institute and the Macrobiotic Teachers Association.
