She approached natural medicine and macrobiotics, after having a grieving diagnose at an early age. By observing the effective results that natural therapies had in her fragile health, healing her completely, Virginia Harper decided to study them and share her knowledge with others.
Pupil of Michio Kushi, she was granted many certificates which make her an expert counsellor in natural medicine and macrobiotics. Furthermore and as part of her professional path devoted to the care of other’s health, at the beginning of the 90s, she established her own natural medicine and macrobiotics consultation and founds several non-profit associations such as, Kid’s Healing Crohn’s and Colitis Disease or Ki of Life Learning Centre.
In 2002 Virginia wrote Controlling Crohn’s Disease the Natural Way, continuing nowadays to be a best seller in its category. She has contributed with writings for American health papers and magazines such as Yoga, Wellness and Southern Inspired.
