    Yamuna Zake literally dedicated her life to understanding how the body works and helping others to create positive change in their bodies through what she has learned.. She is committed to sharing with others what it takes to know and love their bodies, and be better in them.

    The Yamuna treatments offered at SHA are the Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR), YBR Hands-on, Yamuna Body Logic (YBL), Yamuna Face Saver (YFS) and Yamuna Foot Fitness (YFF).

    Elsa Rebollo is a nurse specialized in sports, emergency and surgical trauma, osteopath and all disciplines therapist Yamuna.
    Elsa is one of the older and more advanced students of YAMUNA in the world, and she conveys her philosophy with a personal style, energetic and full of enthusiasm. Elsa Rebollo, the only former of Yamuna ® Certifications in Spain, is dedicated to educating the monitors who want to enter into Yamuna’s world, and practices all YAMUNA ® treatments.
  • Yamuna® Body Rolling (YBR)

    This is Yamuna’s answer to spreading her message and approach to the body to as many people as possible. She took all the basic theories and practice and translated them to a ball. The ball becomes the hands of the therapist and the person’s weight creates the traction, movement and release on the ball.

    This is a very powerful self-fixing and maintaining tool that everyone can do regardless of his age or physical limitations. YBR® organizes the body bringing all the parts back to working the way they should and can be. The commonly accepted belief that as you get older you get stiffer and lose mobility and can no longer do the things we used to do is not part of Yamuna’s belief system. She believes everyone should be able to achieve his personal best at every age.

    In a Yamuna® Body Rolling class one learns to work on each part of the body, rolling the appropriate ball (vis-à-vis size and firmness) from the buttocks to the calf; from the tail bone up to the skull; from the abdomen up to the collar bone; from the collar bone out to the shoulder joint; and so on. Everywhere you have muscle connecting from one place to the next; this is the path along which Yamuna® Body Rolling takes you.
    Yamuna® Body Rolling gives you the ability to “work on yourself” anytime, anywhere, forever.

    YBR® is a natural complement to Yoga. Their goals are the same - to free the body of restrictions, eliminate stress and tension; creating a calm and balanced you. YBR® can be integrated into any Yoga class, helping to improve your practice and prevent injury.
  • Yamuna® Hands On YBR

    This treatment is done on a massage table using the ball on one side of the body while the practitioner works the other side of the body molding it and extending it around the ball. This way both sides of the body are being worked on at the same time! The therapist works the entire body applying gentle traction out from joints down and around the ball. The results are greater range of motion in all the joints, a longer freer body, increased circulation and improved alignment.

    What makes this treatment great is that there is no direct pressure like in a deep tissue or trigger point type of treatment. This means the pain or discomfort factor is very low and the results are very high. The use of traction and the ball disperses any tension, tightness or muscle contraction.

    What makes this one-hour treatment uniquely body-altering is the leverage allowed by performing the work on the table, thereby using air space for additional exploration of range of motion, and use of the ball as a fulcrum within the body's joints. This allows the trained practitioner to go very deep without pain, using the hands as traction on one side and the ball on the other, giving the client a treatment on both sides of the body simultaneously.

    There are key joints in the body-the hips, the knees, the ankles, the shoulders- where, over time, we begin to stiffen and find our range of motion restricted. This treatment, while also relaxing and nurturing, offers an absolutely definable increase in range of motion for the vast majority of those who experience this Yamuna service.

    YBR® Hands-on is the perfect service in today’s world. It is what traditional deep tissue massage wishes it was; all gain with no pain.
  • Yamuna® Body Logic (YBL)

    The order of the anatomy is exquisite. With each person who has come to Yamuna – and there have been thousands – Yamuna has gained more understanding of what the body needs to correct itself. And how, and where, appropriately skilled hands and a gentle heart can help.

    It is through this understanding of the body’s anatomy that Yamuna is able to use her hands to assure that your skeletal structure is aligned. Yamuna takes care, however, to ensure that the muscles are also elongated and toned and that your range of movement is unrestricted. In only one Yamuna® Body Logic session, we can begin to “reeducate” your muscles to move more effortlessly, painlessly and logically. Yamuna® Body Logic creates space between muscle and bone, allowing the body’s perfect circuitry to fire in logical and correct order. This, in turn, allows the body as a whole to perform optimally. Yamuna® Body Logic is an exceptional activity that assesses any structural issue and actually heals it.

    From a session of YBL®, a practitioner will know exactly what YBR® routines to recommend for self healing. YBL® is a very detailed and highly organized hands-on therapy that is recommended for anyone wanting to begin YBR®. Three sessions are usually recommended to fully assess and begin corrections so the client knows that healing and mending is possible. Once a person is stabilized the necessary YBR® routines are taught. The goal is always to make each client independent.
  • Yamuna® Foot Fitness (YFF)

    Yamuna developed this work over 15 years. She kept reworking it until I felt the results were as good as she could get them. She learned over the years how little education is actually available to people to help them take care of their feet! She also learned that with the right education and information people can actually fix their own feet and keep them working at every age.

    The idea that we lock our feet up all day and then do nothing for them once we are out of shoes is crazy! We stretch and work out the rest of the body and yet the feet, are left out of most fitness programs. There is something radically wrong with this picture. The feet actually need very little attention to stay in good working order. Once you begin working on your feet, you will see your legs, hips and back improve also. After you know how to practice Yamuna® Foot Fitness, you can find which routines work best for you and do as little as 5 minutes a day to keep your feet happy.
  • Yamuna® Face Saver (YSF)
